Choose and use digital employees
Digital employees combine role instructions, capabilities and working methods. Choosing an employee helps frame a task, but does not guarantee that every output meets business requirements.
Find an appropriate employee
Open Employees on the left. Search the marketplace by name, tag or scenario. Read the role and capability description before deploying it; review available roles under Deployed employees.
| Task | Role to consider | Information to provide |
|---|---|---|
| Organize materials or write a report | Office Documents assistant | Audience, materials, length and output format |
| Process tables or find anomalies | Data analyst | Metric definitions, date range and questions |
| Plan topics or draft content | New media operator | Channel, audience, tone and excluded content |
| Process local files or computer tasks | Computer execution assistant | Workspace, application and allowed operations |
Use an employee in a task
- Select a workspace and create a conversation.
- Choose the role above the input or through the employee mention control.
- Provide background and acceptance criteria instead of an unspecified request.
- Review the work process and result, adding missing context as needed.
Check capabilities and permissions
Role descriptions identify suitable tasks. Actual tools also depend on the client version, configuration and authorization. Switching employees does not grant broader access. A role without computer tools cannot perform computer operations.
If a role is unavailable or the result is unsuitable, check deployment and workspace selection, then verify the input materials and task requirements. Use a knowledge base for larger reference collections.
